Integrated Environmental Control Systems
While Enviro can provide everything from components to subsystems of an
aircraft Environmental Control System (ECS), the best value for many
OEM's is to purchase an ECS consisting of only a few prebuilt,
pretested modules. Reduced part count, simplified purchasing, reduced
installation time, and simplified troubleshooting are among the
advantages of purchasing an integrated package.
Enviro engineers, working with airframer engineers throughout the
design process, design a customized, integrated package containing
valves, heat exchangers, controllers, and sensors. Exchanging solid
models with the customer engineers, the system is designed to be easily
installable, servicable, and to minimize installation space while
maximizing performance.
For a fixed wing, pressurized, turbine powered aircraft, a system
typically consists of a vapor cycle compressor drive, two or more cabin
evaparator/fan assemblies, and an integrated Bleed Air Management
Module (BAMM).
